Lavanya Mayi Devi Dasi tells the childrn about Gurudev and the Deities
Last week, the London Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math played host to many school children in the area as part of the Borough of Newham’s ‘visit a place of worship week’. Each day, a different school visited the Math bringing about thirty children to learn about Krishna Consciousness. Seated in the temple room, they were introduced to Srila Gurudev and the Deities, and our practice of worship. We had aratik for the children to see, and they all happily danced and sang before taking prasadam - one boy even said the sweets were like heaven!

The children then heard some of the wonderful pastimes of Lord Krishna and Lord Chaitanya. They enjoyed their visit very much and were very inquisitive asking lots of interesting questions from: “How did Krishna get the universe in his mouth?” to ‘Why does Krishna have a peacock feather on his head?”
The following week it was our turn to visit one of our local schools where we received a very enthusiastic welcome. The children and teachers were happy to meet with the devotees and to chant, dance and hear about the Lord's amazingqualities and pastimes.Srila Gurudev's sweet mercy ki jaya!
