On Sunday 2 July devotees from the London Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math were invited to speak about the teachings of Sri Chaitanyadev in the line of Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, at the Brent Indian Association in Wembly.
 
The programme had been arranged by Mr and Mrs Vyas, who are members of the London Math Trust Board and long time disciples of Srila Gurudev in London.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sripad Bhakti SwarupTridandi Maharaj, Sripad Bhakti Nandan Narayan Maharaj and Sriman Devashis Prabhu led the programme.   Mr & Mrs Vyas, second and fourth from the left organised the programme.

 

 

After some Kirttan, the secretary of the London Mission, Devashis Prabhu began the meeting by introducing the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math  to the audience of about 100 people. He spoke briefly about Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj and his chosen successor Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj, the mission in the UK, and the identity and religion of  Lord Sri  Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.  After his brief introduction he introduced the honourable guest speakers, Sripad Bhakti Swarup Tridandi Maharaj and Sripad Bhakti Nandan Narayan Maharaj (recently arrived in the UK from Mauritius).

Sripad Tridandi Maharaj gave a very inspiring talk highlighting the importance of service to the Supreme Lord Sri Krsna and the teachings of Srimad Bhagavad-gita. Explaining many key verses of Sri Gita in accord with the conclusions of the Gaudiya Acharyyas, the audience were deeply impressed by the spiritual depth, eloquence and insight offered by His Holiness. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To conclude, Sripad Narayan Maharaj spoke in Hindi, explaining the Kali-yuga dharma of Hari Nama Sankirttan and firmly establishing the position of Sri Krishna as the Supreme Lord. With evidence from Sri Brahma Samhita and further explaining the teachings of Sriman Mahaprabhu and the importance of Sadhu Sanga,  His Holiness gave the clear and straight  forward siddhanta of the Sri Chaitanya Saraswata line for the benefit of all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The meeting finshed with Arati  lead by Sriman Dayanidhi Prabhu singing the Gaura Arati of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur, followed by sumptuous Prasadam honoured by the devotees and guests alike on this happy summers evening of Hari Katha."
